BOYS
You can’t live with them, can’t live without them,
Sometimes they’re annoying; sometimes they’re
weird,
Some of them choose to treat you like a gem,
It’s funny how they try to grow a beard.
They can show you love, they can show you hate,
Some like to pretend that they’re in control,
Choosing locations for every date,
Like they’re the officer and you’re on p’role.
But then they do something totally sweet,
Flashing a smile, or holding you close.
They can make every moment a treat,
They’re the drug and you want an overdose.
Those boys are people of contradiction
Too bad the good ones are only fiction.
